    Lisburn Golf Club again kindly provided their excellent Golf Course for The Rotary club to host their Charity Golf Day..Some 72 golfers set off on a shotgun start at 2.00pm. Much sustenance for the difficult slog round 18 holes was provided in goody bags sponsored by Philip Morrow of PRM group.

    After the golf and a superb buffet provided by the golf club caterers the following prizes were presented.

    A team representing Oasis Travel. (Sandra narrowly missed selection) were winners of the team competition,

    Don Weekes was the winner of the best gross with a round of 3 over

    Patrick Coyle with a superb score of 43 points was the winner of the Stableford  prize.

    Hard work marshalling the 18th by Henry McNally plus a very successful ballot was added to the money raised by entry fees and sponsorship of individual holes.

    Some £4500 was raised on the day and this money will be used in supporting local Lisburn Charities and Community projects

    Colin Suckling, Patrick Coyle, Liam McCartney and their helpers provided a very successfully organised day.

    On Friday 27th August on a pleasant, afternoon a mixed group of golfers competed for this prestigious trophy.This was the seventh year (3 cancelled due to weather). Some 16 players took part and after 18 holes on the excellent Dunmurry Golf Course they enjoyed an evening of good food and fellowship.

    Noel Quinn with a fine score of 39 points was this years winner.

    Some £500 was raised from players and  other kind donations,and this money will  be presented to the Club towards relief for flood victims in Pakistan.
