District Governor Verity Swan

On Friday 30th August District Governor Verity  Swan visited the Rotary Club of Lisburn as a guest of District Treasurer Ivan. She was not visiting in her official capacity but did give us a few words of encouragement for the year 2013/14

We were joined by the President and several members of the Lagan Valley Club at the lunch

Presentation Cheque to Alan McKelvey of Masicorp Trust

On Friday 30th August Alan McKelvey representing the Masicorp Trust  attended the lunch meeting

President David presented him with  a cheque for £1250.Alan thanked the Club on behalf of the people of Masiphumelele

These monies were raised during PP Jims year at the John McDonough Millenium Charity  Golf Day at Dunmurry Golf Club on 27th June

Masicorp in a charitable organisation helping the residents of Masiphumelele a small township of some 38000 in the Western Cape of South Africa.

Masicorp helps with accommodation,education and enterprise for people most of whom live in shacks.
