At the Clubs Friday meeting on 24th July Duggie Anderson who compiles the cryptic crosswords for the Mail newspaper gave us some hints about solving cryptic crosswords. A short test afterwards showed that the mental ability of Club members had somewhat waned over the years,although one or two members did show some  understanding.

Regina Cox and Thelma Abernethy representing Addiction NI were  the speakers on 31st July.

Some of the facts about alcohol consumption  had a few members a little worried

Installation Of President Gary

At the Clubs evening meeting on Thursday 2nd July, President Sam brought a very successful year to an end by giving the club a short resumee of the year.

He then handed over the Presidential Chain to President for 2015/16 Gary Corkin.

President Gary then gave  the club a rundown of the new committees and their chairs for the year and outlined what he and they hoped to achieve throughout the year.

Donald Minishull was installed as President Elect and Nigel Beggs as Vice President .

Malone Golf Club- New venue for meetings from July 2015

The site will be updated soon but for the information of Members and Visitors the Club meetings will be at Malone Golf Club, 240 Upper Malone Road, Belfast, BT17 9LB as from the 1st July 2015. Meetings will be each Friday at 12.45 except first Thursday in each month when the meeting will be an evening meeting at 6.30pm
