  • Partners night / Haiti concert

    p10400911Some 46 Rotarians, their partners and guests enjoyed an evening supporting  the Haven Charity, being entertained by the of music from the Priests and the Ulster Orchestra at the Waterfront on Saturday 13th October.

    To start the evening a pre  theatre Dinner at Tedfords restaurant was enjoyed by 28 members, partners and guests, whilst another 10 members under the guidance of  PP John McIlroy,  flew Business Class with  a Champagne Reception and Dinner at the Hilton before the performance.

  • Fellowship event/ Jesus Christ Superstar

    p1040030A party of 10 enjoyed  an evening of fellowship starting with Dinner in Tedfords, followed by a box to watch Jesus Christ Superstar at the Odyssey.

    2nd VP  Philip Morrow provided the box for this event

  • Tom Patton Trophy

    The Tom Patton trophy which is being played under a new knockout format this year has now reached the final stages.

    John Gilliland the suprise winner over one of the favourites Liam McCartney in the first round has continued his giant killing form coming from behind to beat John McDonough and reach the final where he will play David Allister.

    David has cruised through to the final and overcame Patrick Coyle on his home patch of Royal Portrush in the semi final.

    What are the odds on John continuing his giant killing form in the final.

    Lisburn Golf Club

    The 4th Rotary Club of Lisburn Charity Golf  Classic was played on a beautiful day on the excellent parkland Golf Course at Lisburn.

    Some 80 plus golfers making up teams of four set off in a shotgun start at 2.00pm.

    The course was in excellent condition and thanks are due to the Captain and Committee of Lisburn Golf Club for once again providing their course for this event.

    Players and guests enjoyed a dinner afterwards and after an auction in the capable hands of John McIlroy, Golf prizes were presented.

    David Allister one of our newer club Members had an outstanding day scoring 40 points of a 7 handicap,and led his team to victory in the team competition.

    David also won the prize for the best Gross score on the day carding a superb 76

    A large amount of money was raised for the three charities we  are supporting, Shelter Box,Northern Ireland Childrens Cancer support and Fields of Life
