Rotary Club of Lisburn new honorary members
At a recent meeting of the Club on the recommendation of Council a motion proposing honorary membership to long standing Rotarians PP Sam Creighton and PP Robin Kirk was passed unanimously.
Sam joined the Club in 1976 and was President in 1984/85. He is keen Rotarian and a great supporter of our golfing section, He played regularly in our monthly outings well into his 80s. He believed in playing quickly and a lot of the younger members had difficulty keeping up with him.
He worked for the Ulster Bank and was a regular attender at meetings until very recently.
Robin Kirk joined Rotary in 1972 and was President in 1980/81. Robin an architect was a great adviser on heritage matters in the club. He has been a great supporter of Rotary and still attends meetings when he can.
Sam and Robin both accepted the Honour with gratitude and the Club is delighted to be able to ad them to our list of honorary members
